Kuantan, 19 Nov – The determination of a stroke victim to show up and received his Diploma at the University Malaysia Pahang (UMP) 12th Convocation Ceremony has captured the imagination of all who were presence.

Haridass a/l Annandi, 36, accompanied by his wife, Pratibah a/p Supramaniam, 35, received his Professional Diploma in Plantation Management & Technology from the Vice Chancellor of UMP, Professor Dato Dr. Daing Nasir Ibrahim.

17 UMP Graduates are ECRL Trainees

Kuantan, 19 November – 17 Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) graduating recently are a part of the trainees for the ECRL Industrial Skills Training Programme (PLKI-ECRL) currently undergoing their training at UMP Gambang Campus. The programme is a collaboration between UMP, Malaysia Rail Link Company (MRL) and China Communications Construction Company (ECRL) Sdn. Bhd. (CCCC) aimed at producing more skilled labour force in the rail industry.

Two Daughters of a Lorry Driver Shared the Convocation Stage

Kuantan, 1 November – It was a sweet memory for a couple of sisters to share the stage during the fourth session of the 12th UMP Convocation Ceremony held at the Sports Complex, Gambang Campus today.

For Sharon Jessica A/P Sarvathi Pillai, 28 dan Sybil Janita A/P Sarvathi Pillai,24, both of them graduated proudly received their Professional Diploma in Supply Chain Management from UMP Advanced Education.

Mutiara Mahkota Launched

Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) launched a book named Mutiara Mahkota: Tengku Abdullah al-Haj in conjunction with Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) 12th Convocation Ceremony.

The 280-page publication showcased more than 200 informative photography from various authoritative sources regarding the life of His Royal Highness the Regent of Pahang, Tengku Mahkota Tengku Abdullah al-Haj Ibni Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah al-Musta’in Billah, the Chancellor of UMP.

Special Award for Mandarin For All

Kuantan, 7 November – Mandarin for All published by Penerbit UMP has won the gold medal and special award in British Invention Show in London recently. Written by Yong Ying Mei, a language teacher at the Centre of Modern Language and Human Sciences, this book has been equip with QR code for audio aiming at preparing the learners for Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi test.

Yong Ying Mei team up with Cheng Chin Yee to produce a book suitable for HSK candidate, especially those who are not native speaker.

Tripartite PLKI-ECRL Agreement to Benefit Rail Industry and NRCOE

Putrajaya, 2 November- The inking of a tripartite Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to formalize the implementation of the ECRL Industrial Skills Training Programme (PLKI-ECRL), will nurture more skilled workers to be in the rail industry and complement the establishment of the National Rail Centre of Excellence (NRCOE).
