KPT and UMP donate to help student’s family

JERANTUT, 5 February 2021 - The Minister of Higher Education, Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini Ahmad was present to meet and greet the family of the late Uqail Iskandar Zulkernain, a student of Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) who passed away last month. 
 
During the meeting, she presented the aid and donation from UMP, National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN), takaful, and a personal contribution of RM26,850.00 for this family. 

The donation was received by Uqail Iskandar’s mother, Mazayana Abdullah at her house.
 
Also presented were essential items donated by Yayasan UMP and Student Affairs and Alumni Department (JHEPA) to ease this family’s burden.
 
Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini also expressed her condolences and hoped that this assistance would help the family.
 
Also present were the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs & Alumni), Professor Dato’ Dr. Yuserrie Zainuddin, Dean of Student Services, Associate Professor Dr. Mansor Sulaiman and Senior Manager, Student Affairs and Alumni Department, Haryani Abdullah. 
 
The late Uqail who was a student of the Bachelor of Computer Science (Graphic & Multimedia Technology) with Honours, was found drowned by the villagers while moving household items that were flooded. 

The flood also killed his father, Zulkernain Itam. 
 
The visit ended with a doa recited by Associate Professor Dr. Mansor to pray for their souls to be showered with blessings and placed among the faithful and to pray for perseverance and prosperity for this family in going through all trials.
