UMP ranked 134th in Asia

Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) achieved a remarkable accomplishment when ranked at 134th spot in Asia in the recently released QS Asia University Rankings 2020.The continuous climb in five consecutive years also makes UMP as the first university in the Malaysian Technological University Network (MTUN) to place itself in the 150 best universities in Asia.UMP had climbed 54 spots this year from 188th last year.

The improvement covers graduate employability, networking and industrial collaboration, and international strategic partnerships.The 11 indicators used to compile the QS Asia University Rankings are Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation, Faculty/Student Ratio, International Research Network, Citations Per Paper, Papers Per Faculty, Staff with a PhD, Proportion of International Faculty, Proportion of International Students, Proportion of Inbound Exchange Students, and Proportion of Outbound Exchange Students.

Various international initiatives will be continuously implemented by UMP to excel in the future, including teaching, research, international collaboration and industrial networking. In this 2020 edition, UMP has improved in almost all the assessment criteria outlined by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) based in London.
