A big leap for Universiti Malaysia Pahang - Metro News | The Star Online

KUANTAN: Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) has made a noteworthy increase in the 2019 QS Asian University Rankings by a leap of 100 places to the 188 spot from the 251-300 range in just six years.

UMP said in a statement that it was the university’s best performance ever in the rankings.

Encouraging undergrads to take on charity work

VOLUNTEERING may seem like an easy task but gathering a group together for a charity project can be challenging.

In 2013, Yayasan Budi Penyayang Malaysia introduced the Penyayang Club to 10 local universities to guide undergraduates on adopting a welfare home and providing voluntary assistance and services to the needy and the community as a whole.

Built for cryptocurrency Bitcoin, blockchain is being used in innovative ways in a number of industries. 

The underlying ­technology that powers cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum is blockchain.  

While blockchain was confined to financial tech in the early days, many organisations are starting to employ it in other industries because the technology is highly secure and even allows for transparency.
