50 joined Post-Flood Volunteer Mission in Mentakab

MENTAKAB, 26 December 2021 - Sludge and muddy water were like an ocean of ‘teh tarik’ in several flood locations in Mentakab.

Various stories were shared by the residents when they realised that the flood water had hit the roofs of their houses in Taman Mentakab Indah last Saturday.

UMP volunteers continue to provide assistance for flood victims

KUANTAN, 25 December 2021 - More than 500 volunteers comprising staff and students from Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) have been caring for flood victims in the state since the extreme flood event last week.

UMP assistance now focuses on sending volunteers for clean-up work and providing basic daily necessities assistance to the flood victims especially those involving the staff and families of affected students.

Unsung heroes ‘Yo’ save flood victims

KUANTAN, 24 December 2021 - Two individuals named ‘Yo’ were heroes for the residents of Taman Sri Damai Aman when they managed to save Hanafi Muhamad Yusoff’s family who lives in a nearby village.

They were clinging to a banana tree when the current was strong and when their boat got stuck in the ropes caused them to be stranded for almost 40 minutes against the strong current while carrying out this family.

Cannonball trees attract UMK delegation

PEKAN, December 10, 2021 - The only cannonball tree or its scientific name Couroupita guianensis located at Rimba Lestari Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) became the focus of the Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) delegation when they visited to witness UMP’s initiative in preserving the green campus recently.

The unique tree species originating from South America is a foreign tree found in Malaysia as this tree is only grown for botanical research purposes.

Pelajar sebak dan terharu sukarelawan UMP turun padang bersihkan rumah

TEMERLOH, 31 Disember 2021- Terkejut dan terharu. Itulah perasaan apabila melihat sekumpulan sukarelawan Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) yang terdiri daripada staf dan pelajar tiba-tiba muncul di hadapan rumah pelajar UMP untuk membantu membersihkan rumah beliau akibat terjejas banjir baru-baru ini. 

Menurut pelajar Ijazah Sarjana Muda Pengurusan Projek UMP, Natasyabillah Afzainizam, pada waktu itu beliau hampir menitiskan air mata. 

Persatuan Wanita UMP (Matahari) agih sumbangan kepada 34 ahlinya

PAYA BESAR, 22 Disember 2021 - Cakna terhadap nasib mangsa banjir, Persatuan Wanita Universiti Malaysia Pahang (Matahari) menyampaikan bantuan kepada 34 orang ahli persatuan yang terjejas akibat banjir di sekitar Kuantan.

Antara sumbangan yang diserahkan termasuklah barangan keperluan harian dan makanan.

Sumbangan telah disampaikan oleh Pensyarah Kanan, Fakulti Pengurusan Industri (FPI) merangkap Presiden Persatuan Wanita UMP (Matahari), Datin Dr. Mazita Mokhtar dan beberapa orang ahli jawatankuasa Persatuan Wanita Matahari.
