11 years of struggle, now Dr. Abdullah Fairuzullah has his PhD
PAYA BESAR, 5 November 2022 - Armed with prayer, perseverance and patience, Dr. Haji Abdullah Fairuzullah Ahmad Tajuddin from the Centre for Information and Communication Technology (PTMK) successfully obtained a doctoral degree (PhD) in Computer Science after fighting for 11 years to finish his study.
According to Dr. Haji Abdullah, various challenges had to be taken into account during the study on a full-time basis under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr. Noraziah Ahmad with the title Binary Vote Assignment Grid Quorum with Load Balancing (BVAGQ-LB) Algorithm for Managing Replication in Distributed Database Systems.
“I’ve had depression for two months and don’t want to see outsiders.
“However, alhamdulillah the prayers and support of many people enabled me to have the strength to continue to fight,” he said.
“In addition, proper time management needs to be emphasised throughout being a student as well as practising healthy eating to ensure that the body is always energised to manage the household and study.
“The success I achieved today is the encouragement and inspiration for my children and other young people to work together and motivate themselves to continue learning and achieving what they dream,” he said.
His advice is not to be alone and always pray to make things easier.
In addition to the prayers of his father, Ahmad Tajuddin Mohd Alias and mother, Kamariah Hassan, his wife, Noraini Razali and the children became a source of strength for him to continue to be stout and determined.
Highlighting past memories, Dr. Haji Abdullah was clearly moved by the sacrifice of his wife and eight children, namely Ahmad Syahmi Abdullah Fairuzullah (17 years old), Ahmad Ibrahim Abdullah Fairuzullah (15), Fatimah Rajihah Abdullah Fairuzullah (14) and Ahmad Syihabuddin Abdullah Fairuzullah (12).
The other four are Fatimah Khadija Abdullah Fairuzullah (11), Muhammad Abdullah Fairuzullah (7), Fatimah Aminah Abdullah Fairuzullah (4) and Fatimah Jameelah Abdullah Fairuzullah (one month).
