4 siblings engineers from UMP

PAYA BESAR, 6 November 2022 – The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, an apt expression for Afiq Aizzat Zamani, 23, the youngest child of Zamani Jamil, 63 and Nor Maslina Abd Manap, 57, who received a degree in B.Eng (Hons.) Mechanical Engineering at the 17th Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) Convocation Ceremony.

Previously, three children of this Assistant Engineer, Amirul Aizzat Zamani, 33, Amira Farhana Zamani, 32, and Afiqah Farhana Zamani, 28, graduated in Civil Engineering also at UMP.

Afiq Aizzat said he chose the mechanical field because he wanted to be different from his siblings.

“My tendency is more about moving things or dynamics because my curiosity makes me more interested in the mechanical field.

“My interest in automobile engines also drove me towards the mechanical field,” he said.

The graduand of the Faculty of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering Technology (FTKMA) who is currently serving as a Mechanical Engineer at Samsung SDI Malaysia also advised the students out there to continue their efforts to achieve glorious success.

Meanwhile, the mother of four engineers, Nor Maslina Abd Manap expressed her gratitude and pride for the success of her children graduated from the same institution.

“I thank UMP for the success of my children today and for their successful lives,” she said.

A total of 1,729 graduands received the degrees delivered by the UMP Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dato’ Ts. Dr. Yuserrie Zainuddin on the second day of the UMP Convocation Ceremony at the University Sports Complex Hall.
