Dream comes true, UMP Advanced graduand receives PSH Award
PAYA BESAR, 5 November 2022 - The dream of a TNB Engineering Executive was finally achieved when he successfully obtained a degree of B.Eng (Hons.) Electrical Engineering (Electronics) - Part Time, UMP Advanced.
According to Mohd Rohani Awang, 44, he comes from an underprivileged family and has many siblings.
“At first, I only attended school until standard six, but I cried and begged my two stepbrothers and late grandmother to continue to form one,” said this Pahang-born man.
After that, he was determined to work first to collect money before continuing his studies at the certificate and diploma levels.
Mohd Rohani said his passion never faded to getting the highest education even after having a family and a stable career.
Even before getting married, he expressed his desire to continue his study to the highest level and now with Allah’s will and the blessing of his wife and children, he succeeded in achieving his dreams and obtaining a degree.
Due to his efforts, he received the Lifelong Learning Award (PSH), UMP Advanced.
When he found out that UMP was offering the programme on a part-time basis, he seized the opportunity.
He said that was the awaited opportunity to chase his dream.
Furthermore, TNB always opens up opportunities for its staff to continue their studies to a higher level.
He advised the younger generation today not to give up easily and always strive to achieve dreams and success.
He said, even if we do not have it today, be assured by Allah SWT that success will surely come in the future if we do not despair easily because Allah SWT has prepared the success for us.
