UMP prioritises welfare and safety of students

The government’s decision to extend the Movement Control Order (MCO) from 31 March until 14 April is considered the best step taken to fight the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak across the country.
During this period, Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) has postponed all service operations, and no teaching and learning (T&L) activities including online are allowed during the MCO from 18 March until 14 April 2020.

UMP Alumni Association distributes hand sanitisers to frontliners

As an appreciation to the frontliners who have been working tirelessly around the clock to fight the Covid-19 outbreak, the UMP Alumni Association (Alumni UMP) contributed hand sanitisers to UMP Security Division and Kuantan District Health Office on 3 April 2020.

According to the Vice-President of Alumni UMP, Mohd Najib Razali, the contribution was one of the social responsibility initiatives to the community during the Covid-19 outbreak by focusing on the frontliners who are working hard to break the virus chain.

UMP contributes 600 hand sanitisers for frontliners

As an effort to assist the frontliners to curb the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak, Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) contributed 600 bottles of hand sanitisers: triUMPH (1 L) and hand-carry Germs Free Hand Sanitizer (30 mL).

Senior Executive from the UMP Office of the Vice-Chancellor, Saharudin Ramli presented the contribution to Senior Private Secretary of Pahang Menteri Besar, Dato’ Haji Md Yusli Ibrahim Mohd Yunus on 6 April 2020.

UMP receives donation to help students

A total of 1,260 students from Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) who are still staying on campus are monitored continuously by the UMP management to ensure their welfare and wellbeing.

They cannot return to their hometowns when the Movement Control Order (MCO) directive was activated to curb the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak.

During the MCO period, the university has been receiving assistance from the National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA) with food preparation for the students.

Pekan, 10 April- Semangat ingin membantu para petugas kesihatan yang berdepan kekurangan bekalan peralatan alat pelindung diri (PPE), memberikan inspirasi buat tiga pensyarah Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) berganding bahu mengambil inisiatif sendiri mencipta dan menghasilkan pelindung muka bagi membantu petugas barisan hadapan dalam menangani wabak COVID-19 yang sedang menular di negara ketika ini.

UMP terima bantuan topeng muka dan pakaian perlindungan daripada HBU China

Kuantan, 7 April- Genap sebulan Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) menyumbang sarung tangan perubatan untuk kegunaan petugas hospital di Hebei University China (HBU) sewaktu penularan wabak COVID-19 di negara berkenaan, kini UMP menerima bantuan sumbangan topeng muka dan pakaian perlindungan (PPE) daripada universiti berkenaan untuk kegunaan petugas barisan hadapan UMP.
