Kolaborasi UMP Holdings dan Yayasan UMP bantu komuniti terkesan

KUANTAN, 19 Januari 2021 - Bersimpati dengan nasib mereka yang terkesan akibat banjir, banyak pihak menghulurkan bantuan dengan memberi sumbangan pelbagai barangan keperluan untuk dimanfaatkan mangsa banjir di negeri Pahang. 

Baru-baru ini, Skuad UMP Prihatin dari Yayasan UMP dan UMP Holdings telah menyampaikan sumbangan bantuan untuk lebih 300 komuniti yang terjejas banjir di sekitar Sungai Lembing, Panching dan Paya Besar. 

Pemilihan MPP UMP berjaya dilaksanakan dalam norma baharu

PEKAN, 15 Januari 2021 –Pemilihan Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar (PMPP), Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) berjaya dilaksanakan dalam norma baharu pada saat negara dilanda pandemik Covid-19.

Menurut Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Majlis Pemilihan Pelajar (MPP) Sesi 2020/2021, Che Muhammad Harith Ab Halim, pihaknya berterima kasih kepada semua pihak dalam memastikan proses pengundian dapat dijalankan dengan baik walaupun berdepan cabaran yang besar yang telah berjaya harungi.

Role of University Community in Managing Scheduled Waste

Malaysia was shocked by an incident involving illegal scheduled waste disposal at Sungai Kim Kim, which has caused environmental and health implications for the communities in Pasir Gudang. In March 2019, the incident caused a major uproar in Malaysia as it impacted a huge number of victims, especially school children. Not long after the incident, 15 drums of sodium cyanide was found to be illegally dumped in an oil palm plantation in Karak. Globally, incidents like these have occurred in Minamata, Japan and Love Canal, United States of America. 

Yayasan UMP terima sumbangan bantu mangsa banjir

KUANTAN, 14 Januari 2021 - Sumbangan 250 kit bantuan bencana berbentuk keperluan harian asas dan kebersihan diri termasuk beras, makanan kering, beg sekolah dan telekung antara yang diterima Yayasan UMP hasil sumbangan daripada Chemi-Con (M) Sdn. Bhd. untuk diagihkan kepada mangsa banjir di sekitar negeri Pahang.
 
Dalam memastikan sumbangan ini dapat diedarkan kepada mangsa banjir, seramai 40 orang sukarelawan Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) membantu menguruskan pengagihan barang bantuan. 
 

Yayasan UMP agih sumbangan Back To School secara janji temu

KUANTAN, 14 Januari 2021 – Seramai 104 orang anak-anak staf Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) menerima sumbangan keperluan persekolahan daripada Yayasan UMP atas keprihatinan universiti dalam meringankan perbelanjaan persekolahan anak-anak staf yang kurang berkemampuan. 
Kelengkapan sekolah ini terdiri daripada pakaian sekolah, stoking, kasut, beg sekolah serta alat tulis buat anak-anak yang akan melangkah ke alam persekolahan tidak lama lagi.

Bantuan Pascabanjir Lebih Penting

Bencana banjir merupakan antara bencana yang semakin dominan di Malaysia. Apabila berlakunya banjir, banyak Pertubuhan Bukan Kerajaan (NGO) tempatan memainkan peranan dalam mengumpul dana bagi tujuan membantu mangsa banjir. Ia sememangnya usaha murni yang perlu dilakukan secara berterusan apabila bencana seperti ini melanda negara tanpa memerlukan kawalan. 

52 children receive new school items

PEKAN, January 9, 2021 - “We are overwhelmed when the children have the opportunity to get new school uniforms through this donation,” said the mother of seven children, Nur Shahidah Adizan, 39 who was present with her son choosing school items in the Back to School programme in Mydin Kuantan recently.
The program was jointly organised by the UMP Women’s Association (MATAHARI), UMP Advanced Education, Centre of Industry and Community Network (ICoN) and Centre for Advanced Tropical Bioscience (Biotropic Centre).

Yayasan UMP contributes to flood victims

JERANTUT, 11 January 2021 - A total of 100 flood victims in Jerantut received food kit assistance and necessities as well as personal hygiene kit from Yayasan UMP and the Student Volunteer Foundation (YSS) in the Ziarah UMP-KPT Prihatin Programme to help those still staying at the temporary relief centres (PPS) around Jerantut.
 
Among those receiving assistance include the residents from Kampung Paya Gunung, Kampung Paya Garuk, Tanah Rong, Kampung Pedah, and Kampung Simpang Tebing Tinggi which were recently hit by flood. 

UMP students vote representatives this week

PEKAN, 12 January 2021 – The election for Student Representative Council (MPP), Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) was carried out online to adapt to the new norm.
However, the voting system was still carried out using the e-Voting system introduced a while ago. Students have to access the e-Community platform to choose the desired candidates.
