KUANTAN, 24 February 2022 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) recorded sales of the UC special registration number series reaching RM3 million since opening for bidding on 1 February 2022.

To date, almost 1,000 numbers have been bid and sold including numbers successfully tendered by staff, students, individuals and companies.

The Chairman of the Board of UMP, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr. Abdul Aziz Abdul Rahman, who is also the Chairman of Yayasan UMP, said the public who are interested in obtaining the UC special vehicle number plate can get it from 25 February 2022.

The sale of the special registration number followed the call and initiative of the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) which targeted all public universities to generate their own income.

“This is a part of Yayasan UMP’s efforts to increase income to be channelled to various charity programmes for the benefits of students and the needy,” he said.

He was met after chairing the Pahang State Youth and Student Programme Planning Coordination Meeting held at Zenith Hotel, Kuantan.

Also present was Professor Dato’ Ts. Dr. Yuserrie Zainuddin who performs the functions of the UMP Vice-Chancellor.

The university hoped that UMP residents and the public could support this effort.

He thanked the public tenderers and buyers including UMP staff, alumni and students who supported the effort.

Those who are still interested in purchasing the UC plate number can go directly to www.ucplat.com.my handled by the sales secretariat Aquatwo Sdn. Bhd.
