UMP celebrates excellent staff in 2023 Quality and Innovation Day Ceremony
PEKAN, 21 March 2023 - A total of 149 Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) staff received the Excellent Service Award (APC) and awards in various fields in conjunction with the recent UMP 2023 Quality and Innovation Day Ceremony.
The event was held as a token of appreciation and recognition to UMP associates for proving an excellent level of achievement through acculturation of quality and innovation as the main driving force towards the organisation’s excellence.
The ceremony was officiated by UMP Board Member, Dato’ Hajah Habibah Mohd Yusof, which was also attended by another UMP Board Member, Madyasir Ahmad Basir, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), Professor Ts. Dr. Kamal Zuhairi Zamli, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs & Alumni), who performs the functions of the UMP Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International), Professor Ts. Dr. Mohd Rusllim Mohamed and Registrar/Chief Operating Officer, Saiful Bahri Ahmad Bakarim and university management.
Dato’ Hajah Habibah congratulated all those who achieved success today.
“Hopefully this achievement will stimulate all UMP associates to strive more persistently in fulfilling the mandated tasks.
“The recognition given to staff is important because quality employees are a key asset in maintaining excellent service performance and meeting customer expectations inside or outside UMP.
“Now, UMP is in the phase of empowering quality at all levels to boost the university brand by exploring critical areas in line with the niche areas,” she said.
The programme, themed ‘Quality Sustainability towards University’s Excellence’, also presented the Best Article Writing Award, Occupational Safety and Health Excellence Award (AKKKP), Public Sector Conducive Ecosystem Award (EKSA), Sports Award, Community Personality Award, Industry and Community Excellence Award (AKIM) and Special Award: World’s Top 2% Scientist.
