“Thank You My Heroes” - Operation of Sending Back UMP and East Zone IPTs Students Goes Smoothly

Kuantan, 14 May 2020 - The process of sending students back to their hometowns in Labuan, Sabah and Kuching, Sarawak was continued involving 18 students from Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) and other higher education institutions (IPTs) in Pahang.
This includes a student from Universiti Perguruan Sultan Idris (UPSI) who was stranded in Jengka following the Movement Control Order (MCO) and Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) directives.

50 student volunteers experience crisis management

Gather volunteers to prepare PPE equipments

Kuantan, 5 May 2020 - Recognizing the need for self-protective clothing (PPE) for the current use of the Ministry of Health (MOH) personnel and ongoing demand for PPE has inspired the staff of UMP Services Sdn. Bhd. (USSB) a subsidiary of UMP Holdings Sdn. Bhd. to gather volunteers to assist in the preparation of this PPE equipment.

It started when the USSB Landscape and Sanitation Executive, Mohd. Hairudin Idris assisted his wife, Radziah Wan Mohd Nor, who volunteered to sew PPE equipment.

Online tadarus is a new normal in Ramadan during MCO

Kuantan, 11 May 2020 - It used to be tadarus al-Quran in groups at the mosque or in the office, but the new normal has now been put into practice for the staff and students of Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) where tadarus is done online to enliven the month of Ramadan this year.

Iftar in trays at campus remains in memories

Kuantan, 30 April 2020 - Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) students were excited when allowed to return to their homes after being stranded on campus for more than 40 days due to the Movement Control Order (MCO) started on 18 March 2020.

The first phase of the balik kampung movement to the eastern zone involved 1,154 students from public and private universities, polytechnics and community colleges, covering Pahang, Kelantan and Terengganu on the night of 30 April.
