PEKAN, 29 October 2021 - Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) continues to shine when eight research products won medals in the online Malaysian Technology Expo or MTE 2021: Sustainable Development Goals International Innovation Award (SDGIIA) recently.

UMP bagged four gold, two silver and two bronze medals at this event.

Physio-Treadmill (Phymill) for Cerebral Palsy Kids research by Ts. Dr. Mohd Azrul, not only won a gold medal but also received the Outstanding Innovation Award.

According to Ts. Dr. Mohd Azrul, PhyMill is an automatic exercise tool to train walking for paediatric patients who have problems controlling position and body activation due to damage to their developing brain or cerebral palsy.

“PhyMill has three main modes; the first mode controls the patient’s movements walking forwards and backwards.
“This mode can also help the therapist identify the patient’s walking speed.
