The Maestro’s Voyage Documentary Special Screening reveals historical treasures

PEKAN, 17 January 2023 - Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) organised a Documentary Special Screening (The Maestro’s Voyage) and Scholar Dialogue Session that revealed the history of the Malay empire starting in Melaka as a rapid international trading port and a centre for education, economy, propagation of Islam and Malay arts.

It includes the greatness of Malay maritime, Malay armaments, and the development of Islam in Malacca before expanding to other countries.

PUTRAJAYA, 9 January 2023 - The recent visit of the Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) delegation to Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) would share expertise in establishing collaboration in terms of academics, technology, expertise and others, especially related to energy.

The delegation led by the UMP Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dato’ Ts. Dr. Yuserrie Zainuddin with the top management of the university was welcomed by the Vice-Chancellor of UNITEN, Professor Ir. Dr. Noor Azuan Abu Osman.

Pelajar UMP terima Hadiah Kecemerlangan Duta Besar China

UMP Students receive Excellence Prize from Chinese Ambassador

PEKAN, 4 January 2023 - A total of 47 students of the Dual Degree Programmes between Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) and Beijing Jiatong University (BJTU) China who will continue their studies at BJTU will receive the Ambassador of China’s excellence prize.

The selected students are from the UMP–BJTU Dual Degree Programme, UMP Foundation students with excellent results of Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), students with excellent CGPA and involved in mobility programmes in China.

In-Community Rehabilitation Programme (PPDK) Implementation Visit

PEKAN, 26 January 2023 - Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) received a visit from a delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), Ministry of Finance of Malaysia and Department of Social Welfare (JKM) to review the implementation of the In-Community Rehabilitation Programme (PPDK) at the UMP level.

The delegation led by the Director of the Holistic Student Division, Department of Higher Education, Hirman Awang, was welcomed by the UMP Chief Librarian, Azman Abdul Rahim, along with managers and university officials.

Behind the lens of a smartphone, Noor Azhar creates unique work

PEKAN, 27 January 2023 - The interest in trying something new and finding the satisfaction of working with a smartphone has inspired UMP Designer, Noor Azhar Abd. Rasid, 49, to create artwork behind his smartphone lens.

Noor Azhar is interested in taking pictures but is not a professional.

“I like to take pictures, especially macro pictures because the resulting pictures have their artistic elements, but I am not an art person, just interested in art,” he said.

Kenduri Rewang Adabi Tour with UMP students strengthens good relationship

PAYA BESAR, 10 January 2023 - Over 500 Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) students enjoyed a delicious lunch for free in conjunction with the Kenduri Rewang Adabi Tour Programme with UMP students at Masjid Universiti.

More interestingly, the menu of nasi minyak, ayam masak kerutub, sayur dalca and acar jelantah was prepared by cooking in groups assisted by about 30 volunteers of UMP Kilau students and Adabi Consumer staff led by Chef Irwan Mohd Nor.
