Spread the opportunity for Jom Masuk UMP

KUALA LUMPUR, 12 December 2021 - Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) offers opportunities for prospective students to obtain information on higher education in the Jom Masuk IPT 2021 Programme in conjunction with 100 Days of Malaysian Family Aspiration Showcase took place at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) for three days since 10 December 2021.

Prospective students and parents have the opportunity to attend talk shows, face-to-face consultations, and educational exhibitions from selected public universities (UA) and private higher education institutions.

According to the Director of the Centre for Marketing and Academic Intake (PPKA), Helmi Mohamed Isa, they are actively channelling information for the second admission session for Semester II Academic Session 2021/2022.

“This programme provides an opportunity for prospective students to get a face-to-face consultation with UMP staff and find out more about the programmes offered, admission requirements, scholarship and funding, fees, facilities, and more,” he said.

UMP offers 23 bachelor’s programmes for undergraduates for Semester II Academic Session 2021/2022, and in Semester I Academic Session 2022/2023, the university offers eight diploma programmes and 42 bachelor’s programmes.

Meanwhile, for prospective students interested in continuing their studies in postgraduate programmes, there are various fields offered for Semester II Academic Session 2021/2022 and Semester I Academic Session 2022/2023.

The main secretariat of the IPTA Student Admission Division, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE), targeted 20,000 visitors on-site and 100,000 online participants.

Facing the new norm, they also organised the Jom Masuk IPT virtual programme, Facebook Live Series with the College Senior Deans for undergraduate programmes, and marketing programmes with Matriculation Colleges/Polytechnics and schools.

Other programmes held include Postgraduate Open Day, GMI Talk, QS Study, and Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS).
The Jom Masuk IPT 2021 programme was officiated by the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Higher Education, Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini Ahmad, also visited the UMP booth accompanied by Professor Dato’ Ts. Dr. Yuserrie Zainuddin who performs the functions of the UMP Vice-Chancellor.
