Tai Jia Yee strived to do his best so he would be able to give his single mother a better life. He would always remember the advices given by his mother, Lee Whai Leng, and that spurred him to do well.

Mummy did know well because the good advice given and heeded by her son also earned him the University Gold Award that was presented at Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) 13th Convocation Ceremony held recently.

Seeing how dedicated her parents were to see to it that she got the best education although they themselves were not highly educated was the defining moment for Umi Zaidatul Azeera Mohd Nawi to not to take her studies lightly.

Their dedication and her perseverance paid off when Umi Zaidatul Azeera was named as the Royal Academic Award (Excellence Award) recipient during Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) 13th Convocation Ceremony that was held on November 10, 2018. 

Kuantan, 10 November – Nekad tidak mahu membebankan ibunya yang juga ibu tunggal, Tai Jia Yee belajar bersungguh-sungguh dan sentiasa ingat pesan ibunya mendorong kejayaan beliau merangkul Anugerah Emas Universiti pada Majlis Konvokesyen Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) yang ke-13 dengan meraih Purata Nilai Gred Kumulatif 3.84.

Menurut graduan Diploma Sains Komputer itu, beliau memang mengutamakan masa untuk belajar dengan tekun dan kini sedang melanjutkan pelajaran ke peringkat Ijazah dalam bidang Sains Komputer di UMP.
