80 SMK Jengka 6 students visit UMP

PEKAN, 27 January 2023 - A total of 80 third- and fourth-graders and eight teachers, accompanied by the Principal of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Jengka 6, Faridzah Ahmad, visited Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) recently.

Also present to welcome the students was the Manager, the Office of the Vice-Chancellor (PNC), Muhammad Faisal Mohd Yasin who was also joined by the Director of the Centre for Marketing and Academic Intake, Zainal Bahari.

Muhammad Faisal Mohd Yasin welcomed schools to UMP and expected more schools to come to expose students to the atmosphere at public universities (UA).

Principal of SMK Jengka 6, Faridzah Ahmad, said the visit was expected to instil enthusiasm and motivation in students to continue to succeed until the university level.

“We also want students to see and feel the learning atmosphere at the university for themselves.

“This visit is also expected to help students improve excellence in academics, personality and co-curriculum,” she said.

Previously, the students were given an academic programme briefing before being taken to see the UMP landmark, the Clock Tower, and explore the UMP Library.
