Appreciation Ceremony for the former Board of Directors of UMPSA
KUANTAN, 25 November 2023 - Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) is organizing a Tribute Ceremony to honour the former UMPSA Board of Directors at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Kuantan.
The ceremony celebrates the former Chairman of the University's Board of Directors, Tan Sri Dato' Sri Dr. Abdul Aziz Abdul Rahman and the members of the Board of Directors consist of Dato' Mohd Sharil Abdullah, Dato' Hajah Habibah Mohd Yusof, and Mohd Sakeri Abdul Kadir.
The ceremony was also attended by UMPSA Pro-Chancellor, Tan Sri Dato' Sri Abi Musa Asa'ari Mohamed Nor.
Also, present were the Chairman of the UMPSA Board of Directors, Dato' Seri Abdul Razak Jaafar, Vice Chancellor, Professor Dato' Ts. Dr. Yuserrie Zainuddin, and members of the UMPSA Board of Directors.
The Chairman of the UMPSA Board of Directors, Dato' Seri Abdul Razak Jaafar said, this ceremony is not only to celebrate the success of the university but also to celebrate the services of people who have made invaluable contributions throughout their tenure.
"During the leadership of Tan Sri Dato' Sri Dr. Abdul Aziz various achievements and improvements that UMPSA has achieved.
"In addition, former BOD members have also contributed a lot, especially in building strong relationships between universities.
"I am confident that the management and the people of UMPSA will remember the contributions that have been made," he said.
He added, hopefully the spirit of excellence and blessings instilled will continue to move UMPSA to achieve excellence.
Tan Sri Dato' Sri Abi Musa Asa'ari Mohamed Nor presented a gift to all the former Board of Directors by handing over souvenir plaques of carved faces in wood and polymer produced by MakerHubUMP Laboratory Researchers at the Faculty of Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering Technology (FTKPM).
The wooden plaque is produced using the laser machining method while the polymer plaque is produced using the 3D Printing method.
At the same time, Professor Dato' Ts. Dr. Yuserrie Zainuddin also expressed his gratitude and greatly appreciated the contribution of all the former Board of Directors when UMPSA celebrated its 21st year of establishment.
