UMP-UTHM-UMK-UUM Research Grant Collaboration (CRG)

PEKAN, 26 September 2022 - The memorandum of agreement (MoA) signing ceremony between Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP), Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) and Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) would witness close collaboration involving researchers in the field of academics, research and consultation.

Present during the online event were the UMP Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dato’ Ts. Dr. Yuserrie Zainuddin and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research & Innovation), Professor Ts. Dr. Kamal Zuhairi Zamli.

While UTHM, UUM and UMK were represented by their respective Vice-Chancellors, Professor Ts. Dr. Ruzairi Abdul Rahim, Professor Dr. Haim Hilman Abdullah and Professor Dr. Razli Che Razak.

This collaboration was executed under a Collaborative Research Grant (CRG) contract grant involving a year-long study.

According to Professor Dato’ Ts. Dr. Yuserrie, the expertise and strategic collaboration of these four universities could create more success for high-impact projects and open more opportunities and exploration to other related fields.

“In this programme, UMP will collaborate in implementing a project titled Assessing Happiness Level In Relation To Productivity Among Universities Employees During Pandemic.

“This project will examine the views on the concept of happiness and productivity in doing work.

“It also aims to identify the effect of happiness on work productivity among university employees,” he said.

At the same time, this study would suggest improvements to the dimension of happiness among university employees so that work productivity can be increased.

The study is led by Dr. Lee Chia Kuang together with several researchers from the Faculty of Industrial Management (FPI), namely Dr. Mohd Hanafiah Ahmad, Associate Professor Dr. Puteri Fadzline Muhamad Tamyez, Dr. Muhammad Ashraf Fauri@Fauzi, Dr. Ahmad Huzaimi Abd Jamil and Associate Professor Dr. Goh Kai Chen (UTHM).
