UMPSA conducts validation audit for offshore programmes at Muscat College

OMAN, 19 December 2023 - The delegation of Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) held a validation audit of the UMPSA offshore programmes conducted by Muscat College, Oman.

The UMPSA delegation led by the Dean of the Faculty of Computing (FK), Associate Professor Ts. Dr. Adzhar Kamaludin was also joined by the Deputy Dean (Academic & Student Affairs) of the Faculty of Industrial Management (FPI), Dr. Syed Radzi Rahamaddulla and Senior Executive, Centre for Academic Strategic Cooperation, Nor Ilma Mustafa Kamal.

According to Associate Professor Ts.  Dr. Adzhar, a total of three programmes were involved, namely Bachelor of Computer Science (Software Engineering) with Honours, Bachelor of Computer Science (Computer Systems and Networking) with Honours and Bachelor of Project Management with Honours.

“The programme validation audit was held at the Department of Computing and the Department of Business and Accounting, Muscat College.

“This validation audit has seen several aspects of programme improvements that Muscat College wants to implement in line with technological developments and innovations,” he said.

Muscat College is also interested in collaborating on the development of franchised programmes as well as the mobility of students and staff.

In addition, Muscat College intends to establish research collaboration with UMPSA, including obtaining research grants from the government of Oman.

UMPSA delegates were also invited to attend the Muscat College Student Graduation Ceremony which took place at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre on 19 December 2023.

The ceremony saw a total of 58 bachelor students of the UMPSA offshore programmes graduate for the year 2023.
