Dr. Mohd Azraai helps farmers improve accuracy in watering and plant growth systems

PEKAN, 20 November 2023 – Researcher and lecturer of the Faculty of Manufacturing and Mechatronics Engineering Technology (FTKPM), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) was determined to study the cause of his failure to produce quality crops and consistent results by creating Agronetics or Automated Internet of Things (IoT) Fertigation System which is used to improve accuracy in watering and crop growth systems.

This research was conducted at iMAMS Laboratory, FTKPM.

UMPSA, Trash Hero Kuantan and Alam Flora managed to clean up 67.4 kg of garbage

KUANTAN, 25 November 2023 – Centre for Advanced Intelligent Materials, Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), in collaboration with Trash Hero Kuantan and Alam Flora Sdn. Bhd. for the first time, managed to clear 67.4 kg of garbage in Pantai Pelindung, Beserah, through beach cleaning activities.

According to the Director of the Materials Centre, ChM. Dr. Izan Izwan, the programme was held to provide awareness to UMPSA students on the importance of maintaining beach cleanliness.

GAMBANG, 19 Disember 2023 - Teknologi tenaga kepada produk (Power to X) merupakan teknologi yang paling terbaik dengan menggunakan tenaga sumber baharu seperti tenaga solar atau tenaga angin sebagai sumber tenaga bagi penukaran gas karbon dioksida dengan gabungan hidrogen kepada produk lain seperti gas metana, methanol dan lain-lain. 

Teknologi ini dapat menyelesaikan masalah pembebasan gas karbon dioksida ke alam sekitar selari dengan polisi net zero carbon by 2050. 

UMPSA researcher Dr. Noridayu helps evacuate flood victims

PEKAN, 4 December 2023 – Looking at the various problems that arise every time floods hit, a researcher and lecturer of the Faculty of Industrial Management (FPI), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), Dr. Noridayu Mah Hashim, 37, assisted and improved the process of evacuating flood victims through the evacuee model.

UMPSA recognised globally in ESG

PEKAN, 6 December 2023 - Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) was recognised by the world when it was ranked among the 565 best in the world and 133 best in Asia in the QS Sustainability Ranking 2024 which assesses universities based on actions taken on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues.

This rating is based on three main assessment scopes, namely Environmental Impact 45%, Social Impact 45% and Governance 10% involving 1,403 universities listed worldwide.

GAMBANG, 21 October 2023 - A graduand of Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), Pagie Lau Ting Ying from Miri, Sarawak received the Presidential Academic Excellence Prize from the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) at the UMPSA 18th Convocation Ceremony held at the UMPSA Sports Complex Hall, Gambang Campus.

The second child of three siblings is a B.Eng (Hons.) Mechanical Engineering graduand from the Faculty of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering Technology (FTKMA).

Recipient of UMPSA-German Dual Degree Academic Excellence Prize best graduate in Hochschule Reutlingen

GAMBANG, 21 October 2023 – The dual degree programme that started in 2010 has seen 293 students successfully graduate and are now all over the globe with different expertise including Joel Marianus Mukui, 27 who successfully obtained the UMPSA-German Dual Degree Academic Excellence Prize.

The graduand of the Bachelor of Business Engineering with Honours from the Faculty of Industrial Management (FPI) UMPSA was also awarded the best graduate while studying at Hochschule Reutlingen, Germany.

Ridiculed that she wouldn’t succeed, Laili proves otherwise

GAMBANG, 22 October 2023 - Insinuations that she will not succeed have become the spark for Nur Layli Wirman, 25, the daughter of a former tailor, Wirman Tengku Munaf, 61 and restaurateur, Afni Zakaria, 58, to prove people’s perception of her family is completely wrong.

Friendly addressed as Layli, she proved that she was able to obtain the Dean’s List Award five times during her study.

In addition, she won the Ir. Kee Book Hee Excellence Award.
