UMP introduces set of Menu Kasih Rahmah

GAMBANG, 24 February 2023 - Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) launched a lunch set of Menu Kasih Rahmah offered to UMP residents that can be enjoyed at RM5.

The event was officiated by the UMP Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dato’ Ts. Dr. Yuserrie Zainuddin located at Orange Cafe near UMP Advanced office building and Faculty of Industrial Management at UMP Gambang which at the same time also officiated DMagia Cafe which just started its operation.

In his speech, the UMP Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dato’ Ts. Dr. Yuserrie thanked all cafe operators, especially the Operating Director of DMagia Cafe, Dato’ Haji Yassir Haji Abu Hanifah, who responded to the government’s call by holding a set of Menu Kasih Rahmah at UMP.

“The Menu Kasih Rahmah set that offers ready-made meals at a maximum price of RM5 is a charitable effort for all consumers, especially the B40 group,” he said.

Also present were Senior Manager, Student Affairs and Alumni Department, Haryani Abdullah, Manager, Management Services Division, Hajah Sabarehan Ismail, Operating Director of DMagia Cafe, Dato’ Haji Yassir Haji Abu Hanifah and President of the UMP Students’ Representative Council (MPP), Agha Khilfi Suarno.

According to Dato’ Haji Yassir, as the head of all cafes in UMP, he was very happy to be able to implement this programme in six cafes in Gambang and Pekan.

He hoped that this menu could ease the burden and benefit all parties.

Meanwhile, according to UMP alumnus who is also one of the café entrepreneurs, Nor Shahadah Nasiruddin, 31, based on her experience as a student before, this initiative is certainly very beneficial for all.

She sells food at a price that all students can afford.

To diversify taste, she has prepared a breakfast set at a price of RM3 and a lunch set of white rice, chicken and vegetables at a price of RM5.

In the afternoon and evening, they provide western food sets such as pasta and chicken chop menu.

Meanwhile, according to a student of the Faculty of Civil Engineering Technology, Aizat Mohd Nasir, he greatly appreciated the initiatives of the university and the operators who provided this Menu Kasih Rahmah Set.

For him, it indirectly eases the burden of students who live on and off campus.
