PEKAN, 13 April 2022 - A total of 1,400 packets of meals have been prepared for Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) students every day since 1 Ramadan.

In contrast to before, the iftar tradition in the tray on campus remains a memory following compliance with the SOP.

Coordinated under the Islamic and Human Development Centre (PIMPIN), UMP volunteers among the permanent staff joined hands to prepare for cooking according to the department’s daily turn.

Recently, the Chairman of the Board of UMP, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr. Abdul Aziz Abdul Rahman met the staff preparing the food and cooking bubur lambuk to be distributed to campus residents.

According to Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr. Abdul Aziz, the university management appreciated the commitment of the staff who joined hands to ensure the success of the programme in Ramadan.

“This programme is more meaningful after two years of being put on hold due to the COVID-19 outbreak,” he said.
