Associate Professor Dr. Mohd. Ridzuan Darun appointed as UMP new Registrar

Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Ridzuan Darun has been appointed as the new Registrar and Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) for two years effective March 15, 2019.

Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Ridzuan, 45, is currently the Dean for Faculty of Industrial Management (FIM) and has vast experience in the field of management.

Palm-O-Lite promotes healthy lifestyle, resolves cooking oil issues

Concerned about the negative habit of Malaysians who love to use more-than-necessary oil when cooking – which tend to result in accumulation of saturated fat in their bodies – three researchers at Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) have collaborated to produce Palm-O-Lite, a palm-oil based aerosol to be used in culinary industry to facilitate cooking while simultaneously promoting a healthy lifestyle.
 

Penyelidikan MDSolution rawat sisa air buangan industri

Kuantan, 13 Februari – Prihatin terhadap masalah pencemaran hasil buangan industri, penyelidik Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) daripada Fakulti Teknologi Kejuruteraan (FTeK), Dr. Nadzirah Mohd. Mokhtar mengambil inisiatif menghasilkan sistem penyulingan bermembran yang bertujuan untuk merawat sisa air buangan dari industri seperti kilang getah, kilang kelapa sawit, kilang tekstil, kilang makanan dan lain-lain.

Kuantan, 6 Mac- Peka terhadap amalan dan sikap sesetengah masyarakat Malaysia yang gemar menggunakan minyak secara berlebihan dalam masakan sehingga boleh menyebabkan pengumpulan lemak tepu berlebihan dalam badan, tiga penyelidik Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) berganding bahu menghasilkan Palm-O-Lite: Aeosol berasaskan minyak sawit untuk aplikasi kulinari bagi memudahkan kerja memasak serta mementingkan kepada gaya hidup sihat.

Two UMP researchers invented LED lights that could last longer

Two Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) researchers, Hisaji Noda and Muhammad Ikram Mohd Rashid, from Faculty of Electrical &  Electronics Engineering (FKEE) had successfully created high efficiency Light Emitting Diode (LED) system called ‘UMP USB LED Stick’.

They started the research project in 2010.

Project leader, Hisaji Noda, who is from Fukuoka, Japan, said the idea came about after observing existing LED system available in the market that often had life span and heat issues.
