UMP collaboration in Paya Besar, Menyingkap Silam dan Mendepani Masa Hadapan

PUTRAJAYA, 28 June 2021 - An interview session was held with Menteri Besar Pahang, Dato’ Sri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail for the preparation of the book Paya Besar, Menyingkap Silam, Mendepani Masa Hadapan at the Office of the Deputy Minister of Finance II, Ministry of Finance Malaysia.

This book is the outcome of a work by UMP Press and the Institute of Civilisation and Strategic Studies (ITKAS) on the history and future of the Paya Besar area. In fact, it is very significant in the economic planning and development of the local community in Paya Besar.

This work is a collaboration between the Paya Besar Parliament, Malaysian Institute of Translation & Books (ITBM) and Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP).

According to ITKAS Director, Associate Professor Datuk Dr. Wan Ahmad Fauzi Wan Husain, UMP is directly involved in the book publication. In addition, ITKAS UMP is also involved in the Strategic Plan Development for Paya Besar 2030.

“Menteri Besar Pahang expresses his gratitude to all those involved in the publication of the book,” he said.

The 30-minute interview was also attended by the Paya Besar Member of Parliament and Deputy Minister of Finance II, Yang Berhormat Mohd Shahar Abdullah and Pahang State Secretary, Yang Berbahagia Dato’ Sri Dr. Sallehuddin Ishak.
