400 UMP students receive Taqwa Foundation donation benefits

PEKAN, 7 June 2023 - A total of 400 Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) students have received educational assistance from The Taqwa Foundation of the Federal Territories with a total value of RM200,000 which includes living allowances, student zakat assistance, food vouchers, and Professional Training Incentives through the university's expertise.

Through the SISWA+ Laptop Assistance Program, 20 selected students have received donations in the form of laptops and internet data, with a donation value of RM66,596.00.

KUANTAN, 11 June 2023 - Losing a mother while sitting the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination did not deter Mohamad Abdul Jani Hayi, a student of Sekolah Menengah Sains Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah (SEMSAS) Kuantan to obtain 9 A.

However the joy could not be shared with his beloved mother, Norhazlin Othman, 53, who passed on while he was sitting for SPM in February.

UMP identifies pool of talent competencies of potential university leaders

The UMP Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dato’ Ts. Dr. Yuserrie Zainuddin said the Implementation of the Leadership Profile Assessment Programme Series 1 would identify and evaluate the talents of prospective Academic Leaders and Administrative Officers with high potential to fill UMP strategic positions.

UMP ranked 201-250 best in THE Asia ranking

PEKAN, 23 June 2023 - Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) continues to excel when ranked 201-250 in the Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings 2023 (THE Asia) for the first time this year.

Assessments were made based on teaching and learning (25%), research (30%), citations (30%), internationalisation (7.5%) and industry (7.5%).
  
This success puts UMP in the ninth best position in Malaysia and first in the Malaysian Technical University Network (MTUN).

UMP berada di landasan yang tepat hasil graduan kompeten

PEKAN, 3 Julai 2023 - Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) berada di landasan yang tepat dalam menghasilkan graduan TVET yang mampu menyumbang terhadap pembangunan negara. 

Menurut Menteri Pendidikan Tinggi, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin yang hadir bersama delegasi Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi (KPT) dalam lawatan kerja ke kampus universiti di Pekan berkata, UMP telah mendahului dan mempunyai perancangan dalam meningkatkan peratusan pelajar yang mengikuti pengajian TVET.
