Dr. Aiman invents laser brazing connection innovation

Pekan, 12 November 2020 - A researcher from the Faculty of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering Technology (FTKMA), Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP), Dr. Aiman Mohd Halil, 32 has carried out a research project to improve the quality of brazing joints and reduce the cost of fabrication by implementing material surface texturing technology using laser before the brazing process.

This Johor-born who received his doctorate degree at Osaka University, Japan, started conducting this study since 2017.

Penyelidik dari Fakulti Teknologi Kejuruteraan Mekanikal dan Automotif (FTKMA), Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP), Dr. Aiman Mohd Halil, 32 telah menjalankan projek penyelidikan untuk meningkatkan kualiti sambungan brazing (brazing joint) dan mengurangkan kos fabrikasi secara kesuluruhan dengan mengimplementasi teknologi pengteksturan permukaan bahan menggunakan laser (laser surface texturing) sebelum proces brazing.

If the algorithm to minimise battery usage is not emphasised, the lifespan of a sensor will be short and not functioning properly especially when used in areas without electricity supply such as for forest monitoring operations, earthquake signals, crops in farms, and military activities in the forest area.
