UMPSA appreciates and remembers pensioner services

PEKAN, 18 December 2023 - Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), Professor Dato’ Ts.  Dr. Yuserrie Zainuddin presented a certificate of appreciation and retirement to Senior Manager, Management Services Division, Hajah Sabarehan Haji Ismail.

He also presented a certificate of appreciation and retirement to Siti Murzalina Sh Murad, the spouse of the late Mustafa Kamal Daud.

Mustafa Kamal Daud passed away on 3 September 2023.

UMPSA Student Parliament discusses 4 core proposals

PEKAN, 3 December 2023 - The Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah Student Parliament (UMPSA) successfully held its third session over two days at the UMPSA Senate Hall in Pekan. 

The session was attended by a total of 102 House Members for the UMPSA Student Parliament, including the President/Chairman of clubs registered at the Department of Student and Alumni Affairs (JHEPA) and members of the Student Representative Council (MPP).

UMPSA MPP Session 2023/2024 election went smoothly

GAMBANG, 21 December 2023 - An atmosphere full of democracy swept the campuses of Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) when students cast their votes in the Students’ Representative Council (PMPP) Selection for 2023/2024 Session.

The voting session which took place at the UMPSA Sports Complex, Gambang Campus and UMPSA Multipurpose Hall, Pekan started from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and achieved great success with active student participation.

51 UMPSA students will contest in 2023/2024 Campus Election

GAMBANG, 15 December 2023 – The process of nominating candidates for the Students’ Representative Council (MPP) of Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) Session 2023/2024 went well and saw a total of 51 students contesting for 27 seats, namely eight general seats and 19 faculty seats in the 2023/2024 Campus Election Session.

GAMBANG, 19 December 2023 - Energy-to-product technology (Power to X) is the best technology that uses renewable energy sources such as solar or wind energy to convert carbon dioxide combined with hydrogen into other products such as methane, methanol and others.

This technology can solve the problem of carbon dioxide emission into the environment in line with the net zero carbon policy by 2050.

UMPSA, Trash Hero Kuantan and Alam Flora managed to clean up 67.4 kg of garbage

KUANTAN, 25 November 2023 – Centre for Advanced Intelligent Materials, Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), in collaboration with Trash Hero Kuantan and Alam Flora Sdn. Bhd. for the first time, managed to clear 67.4 kg of garbage in Pantai Pelindung, Beserah, through beach cleaning activities.

According to the Director of the Materials Centre, ChM. Dr. Izan Izwan, the programme was held to provide awareness to UMPSA students on the importance of maintaining beach cleanliness.

ULU TEMBELING, 13 December 2023 – In an effort to improve the standard of life of the Orang Asal Batik community in Kampung Bengoi, Ulu Tembeling, Pahang, lecturer of the Faculty of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering Technology (FTKMA), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), Associate Professor Ts. Dr. Amir Abdul Razak together with Muslim Care Malaysia Society (MCM) and Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Corporation (MGTC) held a Technology Literacy Programme with the community there.

UMPSA announces winner of Writing Contest for 21st Anniversary

PEKAN, 18 December 2023 - Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) announced three winners and two consolation prizes for the 2023 Article/Scientific/Commentary Writing Competition organised by the Centre for Corporate Communications (PKK) recently, in conjunction with 21 Years of UMPSA.

A lecturer from the Centre for Human Sciences (PSK), Dr.  Hasnah Hussiin was named the first place winner through her article titled ‘Terpahat Dalam Kenangan: UMPSA Menangani COVID-19 (2020-2021)’.

PEKAN, 1 January 2024 – Difficulty in analysing water level data which is important data for identifying flood areas sparked an idea to a researcher and lecturer of the Faculty of Civil Engineering Technology (FTKA), Ts. Dr. Nurul Nadrah Aqilah Tukimat, 38 to create WALES Simulator, a software that can predict river water levels based on meteorological variables such as rain and evaporation.

Community-driven solutions for TVET self-employment: Research based SULAM

A TVET graduate tracer study conducted in 2020 revealed that the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (MRRD) produced the highest number of entrepreneurs, 44.6% of them earning incomes below RM1000 from automotive repair and service workshops and 76.7% from tailoring and clothing manufacturing. The phenomenon is not isolated, but is aligned with a national agenda that places a high priority on entrepreneurship and innovation in the TVET sector.
