The corporate liability provision under Section 17A of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009 is designed to ensure that companies are held accountable for any corrupt activities committed by their employees. In the event that a company is found guilty of such offences, they will be fined, their directors and officers will be imprisoned, and other financial penalties will be imposed. Furthermore, the reputation and credibility of the organisation will be adversely affected. 

Mahasiswa yang telah tamat pengajian semestinya berasa teruja untuk menempuh alam pekerjaan. Hakikatnya, meneroka peluang pekerjaan adalah atas usaha individu itu sendiri selain mempunyai kelulusan akademik. Pekerjaan itu tidak datang bergolek. Kita yang harus mencari, menyediakan resume dan mempersiapkan diri untuk temu duga. Ilmu untuk mempersiapkan diri untuk ditemu duga adakalanya tidak ada semasa pengajian. Para mahasiswa perlu mengumpul sendiri maklumat apakah persediaan yang perlu dilakukan dan tip yang perlu diikuti agar berjaya dalam temu duga.

Saya terpanggil untuk memberikan respons kepada rencana yang bertajuk ‘Startling Rice in Measles Cases’ yang diterbitkan dalam akhbar ‘The Star’ pada 4 Mac 2023. Sepatah ayat daripada artikel tersebut membuatkan saya risau, iaitu ‘Although measles vaccination reached 95 per cent each year, five percent (about 20,000 to 25,000) of the eligible children remained unvaccinated every year. Over the years, this number snowballs, and they remain susceptible to measles’.

The number of children with disabilities is increasing every year. This trend is expected to continue, with even more children expected to be diagnosed in the coming years. According to the Department of Social Welfare, there are 152,065 registrations for persons with disabilities (OKU) status as of January 2023. The term disability refers to a range of different conditions, such as learning disabilities, mental disabilities, physical disabilities, multiple disabilities, visual impairments, hearing impairments, and speech impairments.

Saban tahun semua kaum di Malaysia tidak kira yang Islam dan bukan Islam bersama-sama menyambut bulan Ramadan dalam keadaan yang aman dan damai. Inilah hadiah istimewa dari rakyat untuk negara Malaysia yang terdiri dari pelbagai agama, budaya dan kepercayaan. 

It is said that learning a new language opens a whole new world of opportunities, and the Akademi Menara Gading Universiti Malaysia Pahang Yayasan Al-Sultan Abdullah Programme (AMG UMP YASA) 2021-2022 is a perfect reflection of that ideal. This collaboration between the Centre for Modern Languages (CML), UMP and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Indera Shahbandar (SMKIS), Pekan, Pahang, was more than just a language learning initiative.
