PEKAN, 28 October 2020 – The Office of SUARA Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) has published four new books entitled Kembara PhD, Reinforced Concrete Design, Fires and Explosions – Managing Process Safety, and Capstone Project – Guideline for Undergraduate Civil Engineering Courses.

24-hour room offers comfort for continuous learning

The 24-hour room at the UMP Library is the most popular area among the UMP students. 

The Library has received many suggestions to upgrade this room for users, especially during the study week and final exam. 

For that, the Library has successfully requested that the space be immediately upgraded in line with current developments either at the Pekan or Gambang campuses. 

Ir. Dr. Chin Siew Choo produces sustainable construction material OHE-Crete

A researcher from the Department of Civil Engineering, College of Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP), Ir. Dr. Chin Siew Choo produced sustainable construction material, namely OHE-Crete. 

According to the Negeri Sembilan-born, OHE- means green in the Hawaiian language. 

“Therefore, OHE-Crete refers to green concrete that uses bamboo fibres to produce sustainable construction material.
