Palm oil plantation in the country is the largest agriculture crop in the country and as such, mass oil production of that scale will surely result in massive waste of empty fruit bunch.
In fact, only 10 percent of the oil is produced while the remaining 90 percent is agriculture waste or biomass. Some of the waste are processed into animal food while some are simply thrown away.
Research works by Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) lecturers continued to receive recognitions following their wins of three gold medals, two special awards, one silver medal and four bronze medals at the Seoul Invention and International Fair (SIIF).

Kuantan, 15 November- Penyelidikan Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) diiktiraf di persada apabila hasil penyelidikan universiti menempa kejayaan dengan meraih lima anugerah khas, lima pingat emas dan dua pingat perak dalam Pameran British Invention Show (BIS 2018) yang diadakan pada 24 hingga 27 Oktober lalu di Barbican Exhibition Center, London, United Kingdom.
Pekan, 1 November- Penyelidik Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP), Idris Mat Sahat dari Fakulti Kejuruteraan Mekanikal (FKM) berjaya mencipta produk Wrist Rehabilitation Device (WREHAB) yang dapat membantu juru terapi untuk melakukan rehabilitasi dan ke atas pesakit semasa sesi fisioterapi pergelangan tangan khusus buat pesakit strok dan pesakit yang menjalani terapi di bahagian sama.
