PEKAN, 15 August 2023 - Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) held a knowledge discourse programme titled ‘Drone Technology in Malaysia: Are We Ready?’

The programme organised by the Research and Innovation Department was a proactive step by the university in deepening knowledge about the new horizon of drone technology towards the economic development sector in the country.

SEMPORNA, 31 July 2023 - A total of 27 volunteers from Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) among staff, alumni, Yayasan UMP Squad and Rakan Siswa YADIM succeeded in benefiting residents on Pulau Bum Bum, especially in Kampung Balimbang, Berjasa, Samal Samal and Berjaya.

The programme, which focused on five areas through the activities of technology, community service, education, spirituality, and leadership clusters, succeeded in making a significant impact on the daily lives of the residents of this area.

KUANTAN, 3 August 2023 - Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), through the Institute of Civilization and Strategic Studies (ITKAS), is set to conduct a Feasibility Study for the Construction of the Spur Line of the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) Project in Pahang. The study is a collaboration between UMPSA and the Pahang State Government's Economic Planning Unit (BPEN).

SEMPORNA, 1 August 2023 - A total of 37 Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) Kilau Volunteers supported the Bajau and Bajau Laut communities living around Pulau Mabul in the Kembara Prihatin@Semporna Programme organised by Yayasan UMP with strategic partner, Muslim Care Malaysia (Muslim Care).

In addition to providing daily necessities, UMPSA volunteers have the opportunity to meet with children at Madrasah Terapung (Floating Madrasah) run by Muslim Care.

PAYA BESAR, August 11, 2023 - Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) held a National Flag Presentation Ceremony to further enhance the spirit of love for the country among UMPSA residents in conjunction with National Day 2023 with the theme 'Malaysia MADANI: Determination for Unity Fulfills Hope' (‘Malaysia MADANI: Tekad Perpaduan Penuhi Harapan’) for this year.

PUTRAJAYA, 10 August 2023 - Professional collaboration with alumni in the Industry Network Alumni Platform (INAP) is a platform for Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) alumni to build relationships (networking), interact and contribute in their professional capacity.

INAP, which was established in 2017, is a platform and a commitment to collaboration to strengthen strategic networks between universities and industry.

PUTRAJAYA, 10 August 2023 - Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) is collaborating with the Malaysian-American Commission on Educational Exchange (MACEE) in an effort to strengthen understanding and promote educational exchange between the two countries.

MACEE has played a vital role in implementing and coordinating various higher education projects, especially student exchanges between the two countries under the Fulbright Malaysia programme.

PEKAN, 10 August 2023 - Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) received delegates from the Johor State Education Department in conjunction with the Industry Verification Visit for the Career Advisor Adoptive Programme of the Johor State Education Department recently.

The delegates was led by Guidance and Counselling Teacher cum Career Advisor of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Bandar Kota Tinggi, Ibrahim Ya’akub, along with 29 Career Advisors and Guidance Teachers representing 30 schools in Johor.

PEKAN, 15 August 2023 - Lecturer of the Faculty of Computing (FK), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), Ts. Dr. Syafiq Fauzi Kamarulzaman, 37 developed an elephant deterrence system using artificial intelligence to help detect and prevent elephants from intruding livestock farm areas.

By analysing real-time data and using machine learning algorithms, it will be able to monitor the presence of elephants on farm premises, triggering harmless deterrence and recording potential damage.

PEKAN, August 7, 2023 - The organization of the TVET Empowerment Programme with Peer Facilitators (PRS), which involved a total of 250 students and teachers from 86 Vocational Colleges (KV) throughout Malaysia, successfully ignited interest, developed potential, and empowered the competitiveness of students in TVET-related fields.

TUNJONG, 13 July 2023 - The Tenpin Bowling Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) women’s team won a gold medal in the group category and won medals in each category at the 2023 East Coast IPT Tenpin Bowling tournament at Lite Superbowl JB7, Tunjong, Kelantan recently.

PEKAN, 28 August 2023 - In a remarkable display of community spirit and educational outreach, the Malaysian Armed Forces Family Welfare Association (BAKAT) hosted the Fly High English Camp at the RMAF Kuantan Air Base on 28 August 2023. 

The camp, specifically designed for 80 children between the ages of 7 and 12, was crafted to enhance their English language skills while fostering self-confidence and honing their communication abilities. 

Students are required to create Public Service Announcements (PSAs) in Kursus Integriti dan Anti-Rasuah (KIAR) - UHE3432 as one of the assessments. They are tasked with creating a video that will convey the message of the KIAR content, either the penalties, true bribery cases, whistle-blower protection, or the importance of integrity. The student should also be able to explain the message of the PSA and how the contents of KIAR are reflected in the PSA.
